In the arc of his career, Pete Rose never could have expected this: He will be inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment’s Hall of Fame before he is allowed to be voted into baseball’s.
Rose’s service to WWE is minor compared with his setting the major league record of 4,256 hits, but gambling has rendered him unemployable in baseball and ineligible to be enshrined in Cooperstown. In his autobiography, which was published in January, he belatedly admitted to gambling on baseball.
His record of service to WWE is slender – minuscule compared with fellow inductees like Sgt. Slaughter and Jesse Ventura – but his three appearances on Wrestlemania include dressing as a chicken and being pile-driven into arena mats by Kane, a 7-foot masked monster.
“He came in, from totally outside our environment and said, ’What do you want me to do?”’ Vince McMahon, the chairman of WWE, said from Atlanta. “I said, ’Well, we have this 300-pound wrestler named Kane who does the Pile Driver.’ Pete says, ’Great, what’s that?’ And I said, ’He turns you upside down and drives you into the mat.’ Without hesitation, he said: ’Is that good? Will there be a crowd reaction?”’
Kane was Rose’s nemesis at the three Wrestlemanias from 1998 to 2000.Kane will present Rose at his induction.
Calls seeking comment from Rose through his agent and lawyer were not returned.

I'm sorry... Mr. Rose doesn't even rate in the WWE with this bunch of old time wrasslers, Jesse “The Body” Ventura, Sgt. Slaughter, Don Muraco, Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, Tito Santana, Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, Superstar Billy Graham,Harley Race, Big John Studd, and Junkyard Dog.

I post on a wrestling board some times. You should see how pissed the fans were about this. "How the fuck is Pete Rose in and (insert some old ass wrestler) isnt.............." Rose was at Wrestlemania for the induction, got booed pretty good, but eventually it was drowned out by cheers. Im just happy they didnt give him the microphone
