Dallas just became a nice place to trade up if needed

We'll give them our #1 and Henning for their #1. If that's not enough, we'll throw in our extra 4th from Miami.

    Last 5 #9 picks---

98-Fred Taylor 1200 yards and 17 TD's rookie year- elite back but, can't stay healthy but, was /is an impact player

    99- Chris Claiborne- solid-but he's no Urlacher

00-Brian Urlacher- great and he is an Urlacher-definite impact

01-Koren Robinson- impact player and future pro bowler 11th in NFL with 1240 yards this season. FYI- Koren runs a youth football camp in Belmont during the summer and if you have school aged kids it's a great experience- I will post more info on the camp after it's decided what week it will be this summer.

02- John Henderson- jury is still out.

We can grab an impact player at #9!!!!

9 should be good enough to get a nice pick...seems right now as if no one will drop but seems like the 8-11 picks always are fruitful with choices in the end.

Larry Johnson should be available at 9. Other than trading up, I see that as our best bet at that slot. Hopefully Steinbech or Manuwai will be available when we pick again in round 2.

Precisely. If the Panthers want QB they need to go to Dallas' pick to get Leftwich or Palmer or Manning.

If we don't want QB in round 1 then stay put and take the best RB on the board. That would probably be Larry Johnson.

Question now is: What the hell does Houston do at #3? If McGahee stays in school and Kennedy goes at #1 look for Houston to trade down fairly cheaply and take Suggs. We could go to #3 in that scenerio and have our choice of QBs.
Of course - if Cincy goes QB that hurts us quite a bit.
Here is a worst case draft: (McGahee and Williams stay in school)
    1) Cincy - Palmer
    2) Det - Rogers
    3) Houston - Kennedy
    4) Chicago - Leftwich
    5) Dallas - Larry Johnson
    6) Arizona - Manning
    7) Minnesota - Joesph
    8) Jax - Andre Johnson
    9) Carolina - ???????????

If that scenario goes down, look for a O-line pick or CB. I don't like either pick, but we are talking worst-case scenario here.

Shocker, if it went like that, we'd might look to spend a #3 to move up to Minnesota's postion to grab Andre. Jax won't take a DT, so it's a no risk move for them. I wonder if they'd settle for a #4.
