they also get less money and are by default considered slightly lower grade so have to bust their asses twice as hard in camp to beat out another player for a roster spot

    agree.
That's one thing Polian always could do, get great midround and FA picks.

If it were me, Colbourne's one I'd have to have.
Ofenheusle's likely because we're still needy at OT (three players there right now) and we brought him in. Unless we just couldn't stand him. Cosey Cole could be brought in. I like Lamarcus McDonald at LB.

I'd bring in Nick Maddox as an athlete. He's not that fast, but he could probably do something. And he's local.

Would one of you guys enlighten me on how this works? Undrafted rooks can't just “walk on” can they? I have always thought that they field invites and pick which team they prefer. However, that doesn't seem right. There has to be some protocol and order that teams and players have to follow similar to claiming players from the waiver wire right? If not then the most popular teams like the Bucs and Raiders would get most of the undrafteds and the poor Bengals and Cards wouldn't get squat.

it works like normal free agency works. You as a free agent get contacted by teams, you choose who you want to go to, you sign up front.

Ofenhuesle is solid. I thought he'd get drafted. If we need depth on the OL, then he's our guy. If we invite him, I feel confident he'll make the final cut.

    Thanks magnus.
I would assume that we are sending out at least as many invites as anyone else but apparently we just ain't high on the most wanted overlooked players lists.
Maybe that will change in the future when we become a playoff team this year!!! :D

I'd like to see us bring in RB Cecil Sapp. He is one tough runner and would be great to groom under Fox as he fits the mold that Fox and company are putting together.
