UNCW Question

I played against Fish in HS, mostly in the summer AAU leagues. Guy was a monster.
I figured out where Callahan is from, Cascade, IA. Just about 25 miles form my hometown. I am sure that is the connection to Kenny, the kid from my hometown. We used to scrimmage them all the time in the off-season and I imagine that is how the connection was made.
Still, there are alot of Iowa kids at UNCW it seems? There has to be another connection. Some kind of recruiting link?

Anyway, something else came to me last night. Do you remember a guy from Elizabeth, NJ that played there in the early 90's named Joe Huber? Jersey Joe as I call him. I worked with him here for a while and he always talked of how much fun he had down there. He moved to Arizona a few years ago, haven't heard from him in like 6 months or so.

Just a Panther fan or did you live here at one time?

 

Panther fan. If I get this job I should be in the area off and on during the summer and early fall months.
I really know nothing about the area, never been anywhere outside of the states surrounding Iowa, except Michigan...and I could count Indiana since we drove through Gary on our way to Michigan...I am not well traveled?

I was a life long Bear fan (about 20 years), but when Wanny started out 6-2 and finished 7-9...I lost it! I didn't feel that organization wanted to win anymore and I couldn't handle Mikey McCaskey running that team into the ground.
I decided it was time for a change, so I started thinking. Thought about the Giants, always liked them, but w/ the Jags and Panthers coming into the league new I figured it would be cool to follow an organization from inception. And I didn't want to be accused of jumping on a bandwagon.
I am a HUGE Penn State fan, so when the Panthers drafted Collins, the decision was made.
Oddly enough, I see Pantherfans around here now and then. Not many, but I would guess I have seen at least 15 people spoting Panther gear over the last year or so.
Still, follow the Bears from a distance. All my relatives and many of my friends are still Bear fans. They would be #2 now.
