Shhh don't tell Colon. He knows better. :umno:

Being a good road team is about Winning %. End of story. There's a reason why elite teams try to play as few games on the road as ossible and Syracuse wont leave NY until conference play. Duke might call it the FSU effect.

BTW, Colon-blow, your "bad teams" includes Fordham, which went into Charlottesville and won, something the Heels couldn't do.

Dude, have you not noticed that no one is agreeing with you?

Seriously, what happened to you? There was a time when you weren't close to this stupid. Did you have a car accident and lose half your brain matter? Have you just been doing a lot of drugs in the last couple of months? Did you asphyxiate when your head got stuck in Steelergal's cavernous vagina?

Unless you are just getting fat on bad teams.

Most (not all, so please don't find teh exception and try to make it the rule) elite teams play at least one good non conference opponent on the road as part of a home and home. A conference road loss isn't really that bad, even if the top team is going against the worst team. That shit happens in conference play.

Key word bolded. It's a rotation thing. This was the year we had IU, Miss St, etc at home. We did have Wake on the road, but like us, they were busts this season.

Collin's hatorade is simply because he doesn't like the Niners, same as everyone else who comes after perfectly legitmate statements like the one I made.

Doyel, Bilas, Katz, etc have all made commentary on how we're one of the best road teams in recent years - and that does include beating teams like Syracuse, Cincy, Louisville, and even really tough mid majors like SIU (broke their home winning streak which was something absurd like 60 or 100 games - Illinois wont play them in Carbondale). The simple fact of the matter is that the Niners, distressingly, have been a better road team (in fact, a great road team) than a home team the last couple of years, which sucks for our fans, cause no one likes attending a loss at home. We used to have an 80+ winning % at home. Dunno what's happened. It's inexplicable that we can beat the defending national champs on the road one game, then puke up a loss to a dog at home. Doyel rants about it every so often as one of those college hoops oddities.

Here is the statement that you made.

Now, to be one of "the best" you would have to consistently play tough teams (when they actually are tough, not in down years) on the road and beat them.

I'm sorry, but I just don't think that UNCC fits into that category, because

- They regularly lay an egg against a team that they really should get it done against, like ECU last year
- They apparently have been reluctant to give up the 2 for 1 deal that would get them marquee games
- Their conference just hasn't have the consistently good teams that guarantee them some tough conference games every year
- When they have scheduled a marquee name, that team has had kind of a down year

Ok argumentative boy. I was just parroting the hoops "experts", but since you ask:

- They regularly lay an egg against a team that they really should get it done against, like ECU last year - we do one of these per year. That doesnt offset 10+ wins on the road every season.
- They apparently have been reluctant to give up the 2 for 1 deal that would get them marquee games - untrue. We play IU 2 for 1, and there's a standing offer for your boys and the Dookies that neither team will take.
- Their conference just hasn't have the consistently good teams that guarantee them some tough conference games every year - WTF? Louisville was a Final Four team last year. Cincy was top 5 numerous times when we beat them.
- When they have scheduled a marquee name, that team has had kind of a down year - Umm no, we played Syracuse the night they hung the NC banners, IU (year they went to the final four), Marquette (Final 4), Bama last year, etc
If you're gonna hate us that's fine, but taking this from people who know nothing about our program is just silly.

Parrot all you like. I'll try thinking for myself.

quote]- They regularly lay an egg against a team that they really should get it done against, like ECU last year - we do one of these per year. That doesnt offset 10+ wins on the road every season.
Do you really think that one of the best road teams would regularly drop games that they should win?

Glad you finally did something about it. And Charlize Theron has a standing invitation to have sex with me, that doesn't mean that I am going to sit around and pin my hopes on it happening though.

Consistently good, and teamS

UNC got to hang a banner this year, that doesn't mean that we were really good at the begining of the season. Marquette was a conference game though, wasn't it? And I give you credit for playing IU and Bama, but didn't you lose them both?

If you were a great road team, you would be able to rattle of multiple big time wins against multiple big time opponents from multiple years.

I'm not hating you, I'm being honest. You just can't deal with honesty when it doesn't come of as 100% favorable towards UNCC. Like with the wins y'all racked up against bad teams a couple of years ago. Maybe you can tell me Stanford and St. Joe's have bad losses on th eroad too. :woot:
