    If he's Bowl Elligable this year he's safe. He's probably still safe till next year considering how solid he is recruiting, but not making a bowl this year and being borderline next year will get him axed for SURE.

    Redshirt Paulus as said, but get him snaps in games whenever possible. I also would make it a competition every year regardless of seniority. It would be nice if the Tarheels could get itself to where some of the bigtime D1 schools are and a new QB doesn't start until his RS Soph or Junior year

    Not just practice. I mean if he also doesn't win out the job when he's on the field as a RS freshmen.
