I might feel a little bad for you if you guys didn't bring this on yourselves.

 

We haven't brought a damn thing on ourselves. Any grad of a school who is not brave enough to root for his alma matter is not worth the air they breathe. Anyone can be a bandwagon fan. Takes some courage and integrity to stick with your team.

And while we're at it, I'm also a Vol grad/fan. Yet I don't chest thump when they kick peoples' asses the way the grand standers around here do.

 

Sure you do. The whole we get no respect, the ACC is overrated/scared to play us, UNC grads are all obnoxious assholes (escept for those that work for the paper and have a kid at UNCC of course), acting like you are a basketball powerhouse in the making even though you haven't advanced to the Sweet 16 in almost 30 years, getting all pissy when it is proven that you got fat on bad teams last year routine reaps what it sows.

 

Sweet. I'm clear.

 

If that is actually what all of your fans did, then it would be major kudos to you guys.

When all things considered and not naming any specific names, some of your fans get on here and talk shit about the ACC and who we beat that is doing good in the ACC, and many of the other things of this nature, then you do bring it on yourselves when your team doesn't back things up for you.

If you guys were part of the ACC then it would be different.

I don't know of any ACC fans that have started shit with/about UNCC without there being some history of UNCC fans doing something previous to that.

But hey, your team can still step it up in the big dance, so not all hope is lost.

 

So you're saying if you don't stick with your team you're weak, but a team I've been behind since I was old enough to watch basketball I should just leave because of 4 years of attendance and a degree that wouldn't have been possible at UNC because they don't have the program?

 

I'll give some Heel fans some credit. I was at the the UNC/Duke game the other day and was wearing my Charlotte hat. Of course I got a couple of stupid ass comments like "If you guys were in the ACC you wouldn't win a game" typical comments but I also got plenty of good comments on the Niners. Not all ACC fans are terrible but that's true of any league. At least I didn't take as much crap as the one Duke fan in Spankys after the game!!

I was raised as a UVa fan. Then I realized that integrity involves being proud of what you are, and not pretending to be what you aren't. Applies to all facets of life. You should take notes at this point.

 

I've never said we were a powerhouse. Up until last week, we were a very good team though. Gotta get back to being that.
