if Frasor justs dribbles out the time, it's all a mute point. again, classless.

 

In his post-game comments, Roy Williams didn't necessarily put any blame on Frasor, but obviously disapproved of the pass.

if the tables had been turned, State (or any other team) would have done the same thing. and i'm not so sure Copeland was out of line by retaliating either. if you're gonna go out there and get your ass kicked the entire game, then dont get all pissed and slug somebody upside the head in the closing seconds while some of the subs are getting some playing time.

i thought State did pretty good. but they lack a viable point guard.

I for one, thank Mike Copeland for doing what he did. It's about time someone stood up to those hard fouls when players do not attempt to play the ball and are from behind. UNC has had 3 or four players hurt pretty badly on plays like that (Zeller, Derek Phelps, Kenny Smith).

I like Lowe's comment about how B. McCauley should've just hustled down the floor to prevent the dunk from happening.

It's a rivalry (or it used to be....) I love it as long as no one goes crazy and starts a brawl.

 

Frasor should not have made the pass, State had backed off on D (essentially waving the white flag) he makes the pass to an open player, Player wants to dunk but should realize that its in poor taste, he gets a hard unnecessary foul, McCauley should have attempted to block it sure...but again had it been at UNC no biggie, on the visiting floor, it is rubbing salt in the wound....classless on the UNC players side. Copeland did not even land that hard and really had no reason to go at him....

There is a reason Roy sent him to the locker room....I think UNC fans should think about that.

Funny how the State coach thought that it was his guys that should have been back playing D until the buzzer sounded. Roy did the CLASSY thing in taking Copeland out of the game so the situation didn't escalate. Did you listen to the comments by all players and coaches after the game (where neither side thought it was a big deal) or do you just take the armchair quarterback approach and decide to knock on UNC whenever you get the chance even though you don't really have a clue?
Informed comments and postings would be much more 'productive' (according to your buddy in another thread...)

Both sides apologized - get YOUR facts straight. And it wasn't nearly as big a deal to them as it has been to people on boards like this wanting to make it a bigger deal than it was. Cope will get his laps, probably McCauley, too. Either way - it's over. I don't agree with either player's antics, but to say it was all UNC just shows stupidity.

I never said boths sides didn't show remorse. Hey, how about finding a link on Eric Montross's reaction and comments about Copeland. Hell, I felt bad for the kid after hearing that. :lola:
