UNC vs. Duke (What could've been this year)

Funny that now you decide to be here. Congrats, show up when dook won't have much competition like last year. It's ok to only cheer really hard for dook under these circumstances.

 

yeah, looking back, i missed out on a bunch of threads with 1 to 5 replys. I'm not commenting on every single thread. It's been kind of going on the past two to three years that way. If i feel compelled to post in a thread i will. Seeing 50 something threads about unc and the overkill that goes along with that will make someone look like they never post. It's ok fever, it's good to see that you guys are still practicing some sort of excuse or argument for next season.

 

Hey, I have been here at all times when it comes to bball. I have given dook props at times. Let me know when you get off your dead ass other than to belittle UNC when you think that dook will have a better team.

No reason to make excuses for UNC this coming year. It's obvious they will not be as good as last year. They don't have the depth or talent they had last year, that isn't an excuse, it's a plain fact. If you think anything other than that, then you are nothing but a complete moron.

I was here talking shit about dook when UNC was 8-20 and last year when we won it all. I will be here all year this year, whether UNC has a better or worse record than dook.

Aside from UNC what are your expectations that dook should able to accomplish this coming year? What would be considered a letdown? Just want to make sure where you stand now before the season starts, so that way if dook doesn't make that grade, you aren't able to deny it.

 

well, at this point, i'd admit that my interest in college basketball has dwindled. probably started two years ago. I'm not much into the off season but, what duke is returning from what i remember is probably better than anyone else. final four or bust most likely.

my interest has dwindled probably mostly due to the panthers. (some niner fans my pass out) but it's nice to see a team that I can go to the games and actually have some claim to like them. they have a very very very small argument about the teams you like, but i feel like i can be more of a fan to the hometown nfl team than to some college i've never stepped foot on their campus.

 

The Heels will be back,but this is Duke's year. I like it alot better when one of them isn't head and shoulders above the other.

Duke's recruiting class is very good for '06 also, and they have that incredible freshman class coming in this year. There will be some monster matchups in years to come. As for right now, I think I'm gonna love that McRoberts-Paulus combination. I think Pocius will be the one that surprises everyone. He sounds like he is gonna be nasty

Just be glad we had all our SR's leave early for dook to have a good chance this year. :imagestor Thanks to them, dook now has the best chance they have ever had to win it all or choke.
