    Food for thought.

Roy Williams has 5 Final Fours in the last 8 years. (3 Final Fours and 1 National Title in the last 5 years as UNC's coach.)

UNC now has the highest winning percentage in the NCAA tournament this decade at 24-6 (.800) with 4 Final Fours and a National Championship.

This is UNC's 18th Final Four appearance. (Tied with UCLA for most ever.)

None of the 4 tournament wins this year have been by less than 12 points.

I'm pretty sure the Heels and UCLA were tied at 17 (That's what CBS showed today) UNC now takes the lead

Yeah. I think dook is at 88.
PantherPaul - ESPN just mentioned the 18 being a tie with UCLA, so I think that's right, but not 100% sure at this point.

Another thing to remember about the Final Four teams - UNC beat Michigan State by 35 in the ACC/Big 10 challenge this year AT FORD FIELD. Gotta get past Nova, but that could be something to keep in mind if the cards fall that way.

I don't know if Roy did this on purpose or not, but by keeping a short leash on Ed Davis with very limited playing time all season,,, ole Roy has assured himself that Davis needs to return to Chapel Hill for at least one more season.

Good move coach, because otherwise had Davis gotten more PT this season, he would be doing a Marvin Williams jump to the NBA draft now. Davis has presence now when he's on the floor and just a tremendous upside.

Btw, I also saw somewhere that UCLA only had 17 final fours, with UNC now at 18.

UCLA had a final four taken away due to NCAA violations - depends on what you look at, UNC techincally has more FF's.

This Michigan State team is so much better than the team UNC played earlier in the year. They just played 3 games in 5 days and had 2 injured players. They're healthier now and more experienced. Assuming they get past UCONN, they'll be a bigger challenge as their defense is some of the best ever.

Not going to look past 'Nova...
Ok, I guess I will - and I'll put it this way - if UNC can get past 'Nova, then I'd love for Mich. State to beat Uconn, because for some reason UConn scares the bejeezus out of me right now with the way they're playing. But then again, so did OK...

Mich St didn't have that big white dude Goran ... last time when they played. Still think UNC would beat Mich St regardless...then. Let's hope for the best against a VERY good Nova team then move on :cuda:
