It just means the Holes are the best of the worst this year. The ACC sucked, including UNC and Duke. The Heels will win one more game and then they're out.

not really. I'm basing it on my opinion that the ACC is the sixth best conference in college basketball.

fwimfw: the big 10 sent 16.7 percent of its entries on to the sweet 16. the ACC sent 14.3 percent.

I actually thought the ACC was much more competitive than expected based on looking at the teams on paper in the preseason. Most teams had some huge nonconference wins and the season had a lot of great games. I was surprised that VT and Maryland couldn't handle the elite of the mids. I thought BC would dismantle GU and Georgia Tech could make it to the 16. I never thought all would lose and dook would be gone in the first round.

But now UNC is on of the elite teams still on the board. One of probably five. I figured when the dust settled the top seeds would still be standing.

that's what happens in a league defined by its across-the-board mediocrity.

I pray that grid is correct and there are no ACC teams left after the next round.

Sounds good to me. Go Gators. They got that ugly chick with the ponytail playing for them.
