3-9 is a little much. I bet they make it to a bowl.

I see an 8 win season as a best case scenario.

That Rutgers game on a Thursday night is gonna go a long way for setting the tone for the rest of the season.

Virginia Tech is gonna be a little down from last year with all their losses to graduation, although they seem to always reload. Don't forget, the Heels played them to within 7 at BBurg last year.

UConn will be tough, and theres no way Notre Dame will be as bad as last year.

At Maryland is a wild card. You never know which MD team shows up against the Heels. Georgia Tech will be pretty bad; it remains to be seen how soon P Johnson's magic dust seeps into that program.

Not sure what will happen with State.

The key is having 7 home games for the first time in a long time, and one of the road games being dook. Thats virtually 8 home games. There is no excuse for not at least being bowl-eligible next year for this team.

Offensively, a lot is going to depend on QB play. Will we see an early season TJ Yates or the later on in the 2007 season Yates. How much of his poor play was due to injuries?

Running back by committee, though a promising end by Greg Little and the arrival of Womble gives hope there.

For the first time in forever, the OL will have the same system to work under for 2 years in a row.

Defensively, a lot of talent, though DE is going to be a weak spot.

This team was a halfway close to decent running game away from being easily bowl eligible last year. 7 or 8 wins isn't ridiculous.

    11-2 is 2009 or 2010.

They'll upset at least 1 team. Probably squeak out 2 and manage 5-7.

perfect analysis. I know it's wisful thinking. 3-9 is retarded, but I'll be happy with 8 wins

I can agree with that; though my upset pick was UConn. Maybe Maryland and Georgia Tech to get to 5-7.

I think 5-7 is generous. Realistically I think that the heels will finish 4-8....I'm allowing an upset against UConn and Georgia Tech.
