Well I wouldn't think they would claim to be a fan when that team is 8-20, which Brain was.

The ones I would call bandwagon fans are the ones that are just now posting about UNC and haven't before late this year or the dook fans who no longer post.

So, he's less of a bandwagon fan.

He has shown his allegience to Chapel Hill numerous times in the past, cheering for a school over the one you went to is lame.

sly is just posting now so that nobody can claim he's a bandwagon fan when duke wins it all next year. he's sticking with the dukies through these tough, trying times.

Does that mean that when I purchased UNCC season tickets for the third year in the (bad) dream 5-23 Wisselball season of 1984-85 qualify me for sainthood?

:apopcorn: This has been some good reading.

Hey HardHarry, did how much profit did you make Tuesday off that hot Wal-mart stock tip?

I'll cheer for whatever school I decide to go to. I'll wear their colors and theirs only wherever I go. If they play Duke, I will whole-heartedly cheer for them to beat Duke. But I will also root for Duke in any other game.

No, I'm posting truth. That trophy doesn't mean UNC was the best team this year in the least. Duke wasn't the best team in 91. They probably were in 86 and 99. NC STate definately wasn't the best team in 83. All that trophy means is that UNC was among a handful of teams that could have won it and they just happened to catch a lot of breaks. Villanova with Sumpter beats them. So yeah, they won the trophy but that doesn't mean they are the best team, never has.
Until the top 10 or so teams play a round robin format. It never will.

Duke proved on the floor this year they are at least as good as UNC.

.... excellent example. There isn't anything wrong with that. I was raised as a UVa fan. I'm not going to claim that I even pay attention to them anymore, but back when I started college I did. But I took to being a Niner really early. About 2-3 months into my freshmen year when they played Duke the first time and Jarvis Lang went the hell off on them. I even liked Duke back then and I was so proud of how we played. It's been a great, roller coaster ride ever since then.
