Yeah, we do have about 6 games on there we shouldn't even be playing. Not sure what all goes into deciding a schedule.

Charlotte's OOC schedule is tougher IMO:

    Nov
    21 George Washington
    24 North Carolina A&T
    26 at Syracuse
    30 at UNC Asheville
    December
    03 at Alabama
    06 at Old Dominion
    11 Davidson
    13 Appalachian State
    23 at Rhode Island
    30 Delaware State
    January
    02 at Southern Illinois

Add CUSA's UL, UC, Memphis, and Marq to it, and our SOS is as good or better. of course In Lutz' five seasons, which includes three NCAA Tournament trips and one NIT invitation, the 49ers strength of schedule according to the RPI has been rated, chronologically, 17, 33, 72, 22 and 49 (an average of 38.6). :D

How do you figure that? Outside of Syracuse you don't play anybody.

    Alabama #47
    Syracuse Power Rating #2
    Southern Illinois Power Rating #44

    Kentucky Power Rating #1
    UConn Power Rating #16
    Illinois Power Rating #10

So an average for each of our top 3 OOC games are UNC(9) and UNCC(31).

Yep that seems like yours is tougher!

It just flies all over me that we have to spend alot of travel $$ to play the 38th best schedule every year (last 5 year avg is 38th) when we could play more ACC schools closer to home if they grew a set of balls. I guess I wouldn't do it either. With the #1 center in the country here at Charlotte, who locally would want to get kicked in the face????

I don't want to speak for Fever, but I am guessing that he is using THIS year's numbers - not last years. If you think that Syracuse is as good this year as it was last year - you're nuts. I can't speak to the others on your schedule.

Metro here is my source which doesn't seem to match yours.

Either way there is a decent difference between 16 and 27 on average.

If you look at the changes from those teams to this year, UNC trio is definitely tougher.
