Yeah, that 1-5 just doesn't really seem to matter after the NCAA title for UNC last year, but hey, we have been on the other side lately, so I can understand you getting excited over something like that. :imagestor

And if Duke wins one in 2006, and UNC goes to the NIT the tables will be turned. Only Duke can say in a down year they expect to make the Sweet 16 and actually come through on it. Devils in 2006. Anything less will be a dissapointment, and UNC have fun struggling for that 8-9 game.

Not the ACC tournament 8-9 game, but the NCAA tournament 8-9 game. Honestly, if they make the 8-9 game that will be extremely overachieving but they have a good recruiting class and the ACC is way way down this year. Only teams that are veteran teams in the top tier are Duke and Maryland. I think UNC will finish middle of the pack in the ACC do to the weakness of the ACC this year

actually the Niners should be the #1 team in the A-10 they look like they COULD have a down year in 2006-07, but should have a SOLID recruiting class following that.

Uhm ... ESPN ran a profile recently on the Atlantic 10 where all the coaches pretty much conceded that UNCC is going to dominate them this year. Conference USA was a much, much tougher conference and anyone who didn't know that really doesn't know much of anything about college basketball.

As for the rest, I'd like to see some improvement from Thomas, but I've expected all along that Terry would be the "star" this season. I thought there was a significant change in his demeanor and maturity from '03 to '04, so I was already comfortable with him being a "go to guy." The parts where we have to be solid are rebounding and defense, because we're going to play a lot of games in the 60s and 70s.

Congrats on being able to beat the likes of Fordham, Rhode Island, and St. Bonaventure UNCC fans
