Pass on Hasslebeck, especially if you bring another younger player in. He has very few years left. Its not like when we brought in Delhomme. Dude will be 36 by the time the season starts, not sure its in anyone's interest. Leinart is another story though, he could use a fresh start and the opportunity to compete which he probably wasn't given last year in Arizona.

Carson Palmer demanding to be traded or says he will retire from the Bengals.

I agree, and felt hopeless last year. However, if you compare him to other QBs, I wonder how many were playing for a lame duck coach, idiot OC? Behind a wounded line with rookie WRs? The climate that is expected to nurture growth was brutal. Maybe, just maybe.....

The test case for why passer rating can be vastly overrated. Mark Sanchez's passer rating Sunday was 102.2, Ben Roethlisberger's 35.5.

Not to mention the mess Scherer managed to make out of all our qb's. My preference would be to go after a couple of these guys that have a few years in the league and have not had a chance to be the guy. Three way competition for the starting job would be good. Pike will not be in the mix, zero arm strength.

now I'm not saying we should, but Grossman might get a look. He's got tons of experience in our O, and with our coach.
