ok. this movie kicked major ass! loved the battles! love the possibility of an immortal turning into a mortal. i only suspect this. have not read the third book...but i suspect aragon and liv tyler are gonna be it.

4 stars out of 5, only bec i didnt like the ending.

 

That is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. I think I'll go see it again this week.

any of you catch how legolas mounted that horse after the battle? you know...flipped up and mounted from the other side? that was awesome!

 

I saw it yesterday.................... ............. yeah Lex, when Legalos mounted up on that horse was the only time in the movie I said anything. I yelled out, "COOL" and me and my brother gave each other five

It kicked major ass. Kept a nice pace. Loved the effects with the tree herders. Thought Golem's charachter was well done.

I liked it. The wife suffered through for me.

Seeing the Fellowship pissed me off a little bit because they changed some things about the council, Aragorn's character, Lothlorien but Two Towers has got me all pissed off.

Saruman 'possessing' Theoden??
The way Merry and Pippin met Treebeard??
The Ents deciding NOT to help??
Eomer being 'banned' from the kingdom????
Faramir deciding to send Frodo to Minas Tirith???
All that shit with Arwen and Elrond???
Theoden deciding not to wage war with Saruman???
Elves showing up at Helm's Deep???
Wormtongue getting back to Saruman before the Ents attack??
Gandalf not going to parlay with Saruman and break his staff???
Wormtongue not throwing the orb down at Gandalf????

I could go on and on and on. None of this shit is in the book. As a matter of fact it is directly against the book.

Peter Jackson must have been on drugs when he did this one. It is so off base it is pathetic.

It is a good thing that the next one will be out in a year. It will take me that long to calm down from that pansy ass twisting one of my favorite books around.
