Panthers' strategy looks clear: Spend big $ on core - Johnson, Williams, Beason - and fill in with cost-effective help. bit.ly/qwdmHZ

Yeah, he's 28 but don't forget his first two years in the league he didn't do much thanks to Fox...only two full seasons of starting duty...

Running backs don't lose value around 30 just because of their use. It's mostly because the body starts to change around that age, so you lose speed and explosiveness in exchange for greater strength. That's why power hitters peak and speedsters decline about that same age in baseball.

On a different note, why haven't the Eagles signed anyone? I thought I read that they were going to be uber agressive also.

In fairness, even with a shitty team, we had 2 of the top free agents, so in a weird way it's a coup to keep these guys.

It would have been a coup if we got them because they wanted to stay, but we paid a shitload more than anyone offered to either player.

The Panthers have just signed Renaldo "skeets" Nehamiah, Todd Marinovich, and the lady from the "where's the beef" commercial
