I am ready to switch from TWC to Direct. SOmeone with Direct it seems like they are always offerring 4 tv setups. How much is it for service, no movie channels, for a 4 tv setup with dvrs on 1 or 2 tv's

I had it, switched back to cable. Due to the tilt of the Earth, you can't get reception from August 9th to August 27th.

I'm moving away from Direct TV next year. They nickel and dime the hell out of you...

I'm thinking about doing the same. My brother just made the switch. 75 more HD channels for less $$, the 4 tv setup with 2 dvrs is $100 a month.

Had Direct for years, went to Dish for two, couldn't get back to Direct fast enough.

    3 TVs

    Direct Choice Plus - $51.99/month
    DVR receiver - $5.99
    2 extra receivers - $4.99 ea.
    Taxes - $4.55

    Total $71.42/month

I don't remember a contract, but maybe there was. In order to get the $50 credit for being referred it reads:

Purchase of 18 consecutive months (24 months for advanced receivers) of any DIRECTV base programming package ($29.99/mo. or above) or qualifying international services bundle required.

*edit* And I'll be happy to refer anyone. $50 is $50.

How would a 25/25 split sound? If I make the move I wouldn't mind helping both of us

Actually, both the referrer and referred get the $50 credit if I understand correctly. I think they break it into $5 credits for 10 months.

Had Charter for years and constant problems went to Direct TV 2 yrs ago and couldn't be happier. Just went to HD service and the only negative is the 2 week wait for installation of the new dish and receivers.
