from NY daily news.....Bernie Bickerstaff, suffering through another losing campaign in Charlotte, with Emeka Okafor sidelined by ankle troubles, might not return to the sidelines next season. Word is the Bobcats are already looking at Kentucky's Tubby Smith to be Bickerstaff's successor. Smith has been up for other NBA jobs, including the Sixers' about 10 years ago. If Smith joined the Bobcats, Bickerstaff would stay on in his current GM role.

Nest year is year 3 of the Bobcats. They have been careful about drawing any comparisons to the Hornets, that's the only reason I could see they would shy away from Silas (who lives in town and works at the ESPNU studios). I say it's been long enough since the Hornets have been here, and the Hornets should NOT dictate what we do in this town any longer. Silas has to be at least in the running, and I hope to god we hire him.
