    Lunchtime so...

GB @ Car: Large lead, our team playing prevent...GB had NO running game and required Brett to be Brett.

Car @ Ari: Gamble played the first half on a bad ankle; got burned regularly. If memory serves, most of those yards came in the first half (like 200+) and Gamble sat out the second half. Again, Cards had NO running game and had to pass. (McCree BTW had two interceptions in that game in addition to his two pass defs.)

Car @ Sea: Please point to any Carolina Panther that played well in this game. 4th road game in a row, Delhomme throwing like crap, Seahawks passing when logic says they'd switch to a run game to burn time, etc.

Yeah, I watch the games too.

Our whole team played like crap against Seattle. We were tired from all the road games and from our struggle just to get into the playoffs. If we had clinched a first round bye in week 14 and been able to rest guys and get ready for that game then it would have taken a whole different track. Seattle did not get us at our best.

What worries me is what we are going to do at the nickel. Who will play that slot once RMJ is gone. That is where we might get burned next year, IMHO.

Deon Sanders, but only at the league minimum.

I purty much knew when we played Chic in the pos that we were in trouble and that our D (who somehow managed to play great the previous two weeks) were being overrated because they allowed 21 points to the what, 31st rated O in the NFL. We had to score big against their 'good' D to even win the game.

Looking at our sched next season, we better shape up or we'll be lucky to even have a winning record. We better finda run game and a complmentary reciever that Jake will actually throw to. We prolly will do well if we come to play most games like we did in the first 2 po games, and against the mexicans.

But if we don't take our meds and go bipolar again next season, our record will never be as good as it was this past season.

Our sched next year is brutal.

RMJ, while excellent in run support, hasn't covered worth a damn since they made the no-mugging rule after 2003.

I don't understand the love affair with McCree. He had a few big hits, but that doesn't make him a great safety.

Seems to me every time i look up, McCree is either,

    a. Missing a tackle trying to make a BIG hit

    or

    b. Commiting a stupid penalty

That's 2007, so don't worry about RMJ. We'll deal with 07 when we get to 07.

That said, I've been suggesting we draft a CB/RS around the 4th that could elevate to nickel, potentially.

he's not great. He's fairly good, toward the end of the year, though that's when everyone else picked it up too; if they don't keep him, and do something else, that's fine. I just don't think they're going to look for anything different than what they have in him, and as I said before I'd be very surprised if they ever had a man-cover FS in here.
