    Maybe you are just kidding, but you realize the 46 is NOT named after the alignment like a 4-3 and 3-4 right? There aren't 6 linebackers on the field.

    It's named after a hard hitting safety who wore #46 (Doug Plank).

    If you knew and was just being sarcastic, carry on. :)

    As for replacement, I dunno. Herm?

    I can't get too "nobody wants to be here". We chose to let guys interview this year where last year we wouldn't allow them. We don't do that unless we're willing to let guys try something else out. I didn't expect change of this level but I imagine a clean slate would be OK.
