    This is why he doesn't have any tour dates scheduled this year. His chances of staying clean while touring? 1 in 1,000,000,000.

    One of his cited reasons for breaking up Phish was the hard drugs that had come into the inner circle. Apparently he thought it was just with Phish that those temptations would surround him. Apparently, he was wrong. Apparently, he's going to have to stop blaming others for his hard drug habit. Or at least higher a driver so he doesn't get pinched.

    Bad odds. If I'd had that kinda money, I'd have never gotten clean. Not many in his position ever do. I wish him well.

    A year and a half ago I was in Atlanta seeing a fairly little known band from New York at a small venue. He was there by himself. He looked pretty tweaked out.

    A friend of a friend played keys and some guitar in his last solo thing. He said he was always tweaked out.

    Sounds pretty tough, hopefully there is an out-patient program and/or some sort of support group for him, it's real easy to do drugs if you've got enough free time on your hands. Imagine being a bored drug addict, near where you grew up, fun is just a phone call away....

    I think the tweaking can be explained with crack. He's washed up, lost his chops, but I wish him the best.
