is due an 8 mil bonus this offseason and is also going to have a cap hit of 10.3mil unless he restructures. Rumor has it that the preliminary talks haven't gone too well but that's just preliminary. Vermiel doesn't want to have to start over with a new QB so the thinking is that in someway he'll stay.

But if he doesn't would you want him?

Of course not.... if he doesn't restructure and they don't want to deal with the 10.3 cap hit they'd have to release him.

I think he'll make a deal though. He'd be stupid to start over again at this stage of his career, and with the fact that all they need now is some D

Green has built a career on one season in Washington. He's done litte to nothing since. He throws too many Int's for my taste.
If he's smart, he'll restructure and stay with KC, if he goes elsewhere he might not be the starter.

He was on the roster, got hurt before the season started and Warner took over...the rest is history!

no no... he filled in for Warner like Bulgar did... and he played good... that's what earned him the KC job

No, no...Green was the starter in the pre-season Warner was the #3 originally. When Green got hurt in the second to last or last pre-season game they bumped Warner to #1...I think their original #2 was hurt too?
The big question at the time was, Who is Kurt Warner?
Green came back the next year and couldn't recapture the job.
