    Classical music and metal (not hair band shit) fit together perfectly. Listen to Kamelot, Epica, Symphony X, Savatage, or even Dream Theater.

    I suspect there are some trends with people liking some of those groups and TSO. I am sure it wouldn't apply to all, but I can see some of the similarities.
