I think I'd take Ingram. He's bigger and stronger than Norwood, and is a legit 4-3 DE. He would help with our pass rush and is reasonably stout vs the run.

Wonder if Rivera is tempted to take Upshaw with is background in 3-4?

I believe you. Actually, I could warm to the idea of taking Brockers as a DE at #9, I just don't want him taken as a 4-3 DT.

Norwood was 270-275 at USC, but he slimmed down to try and become a rush LB in the NFL. I'm also not completely convinced about Ingram being an impact 4-3 DE, as I think he's much better in space than at holding the point. Ingram is better than Norwood was, but I do think there are some worrisome parallels.

that would be an awful scenario for us but i don't really think
Richardson falls below us. if he does, someone will want to jump up the board and get him. We could trade down and take a DT or WR lower in the 1st round. Jenkins seems interesting.

I'd be good with DeCastro. He looks awesome. I'm not a big fan of Wright. Don't see Smitty's explosion in him. I'd rather take Floyd. Don't know much about Ingram. Cox is a pretty good looking DT if we have to start reaching. Would rather him than Kirkpatrick.

At #9 the best options look like Reiff, DeCastro, and Brockers.

Reiff won't make it to #9.

DeCastro belongs there, but a G in the top 10 is crazy talk. I see Richardson falling out of the top 10 because he is a RB.

I think there are only 6 high ranking players.
Luck, Griffin, Claiborne, Kalil, Blackmon, Coples (?)*. Reiff is added because he is a LT, so seven. Brockers might squeak in there after his pro day. Micheal Floyd or Kendall Wright could sneak into the top 7 if Jacksonville passes on Coples

I think we will have no offers to trade down.... Mayock today said he thought Tannehill would be top 10--no way, but I hope the Dolphins fall in love with him.

*Coples could fall, depends on the interviews.

Richardson and Coples are the only ones who might fall out, and that's only if teams choose not to value RBs that highly. Obviously we can't use him, and the idea that anyone would give much to trade up and take him at #9 is unfounded optimism.

If Richardson did fall to us, unfortunately Buffalo is behind us and not much of a threat to take him.

Maybe someone will fall out of the first and we'll be offered something for the 40 pick. If Miami doesn't do QB in the 1st, and Tannehill is there, someone may want to jump in front of them.

If Richardson falls to #9 and some team wants him mabye that is our shot to trade down. We certainly do not need to draft another RB in the first round.
