Northcutt & a 3rd or 4th round pick? The Browns need a QB, we need something else at WR... Northcutt has looked pretty good.

This idea is for those that think Fox has no intention on keeping Winky next season. If this be true, lets do it now.

Surely we could find someone to come in either ahead or behind Fasani.

Browns do not need a QB. They’ve got Couch, who had a 300 yard game just two weeks ago, and Holcombe, who has come in relief to put up big numbers. He’s hurt, but not out for the year. Furthermore, why would they trade a good receiver when they are making a playoff run?
No one is going to trade us a receiver this year. It ain’t happening.

Teams in playoff expectations don’t trade good wide receivers just because their backup QB is hurt and their starter has a bruised ego. If worse comes to it, they’ll add a guy of the street to be the emergency QB (Grbac) off the street.

They may have playoff expectations, but I'd say they are a longer shot than we are to actually do it. Other than maybe the Bangles, I don't see many sure wins on the rest of their schedule. I think the Ravens are stronger and no longer the same team we played opening day. (Not to say we could not beat em again :D)

Guess I was just hoping before the trade deadline we could find a decent receiver. I think we need that. And aside from my belief Winky is average, I'm from the school that no matter how well he does (when - if ) plays this year. Fox has no intetion of keeping him, no matter what the media says or he says to the media.

In that division, 8 and 8 could get you in.

OK, I'll give em Houston and Cinci, throw in a surprise win and that gets them to 5 wins.

I dont see anyone giving us anything more than a late round pick for Weinke, if that. He would be a third stringer on most teams.

So... I guess (gasping for air) that it would be to our advantage to have him light it up a few games, you know give a few teams something to knaw on...

They are better than that. That will be a difficult win for us. 6-4 last year before injuries hit em
