I've seen this idea on other boards and it sounds somewhat interesting.
What do you guys think of trading our second rounder and maybe a sixth to someone in the late first round if a player we want at DE, CB, or OLB is there?
Just something to ponder, it's interesting, but I am rather indifferent on the idea and the real value of it.

Depends on who's there. If Haynesworth or Sims sits at 25, sure. That's because I value each of those guys higher than that. if we're just paranoid a guy won't fall, nah. Save it. I don't like the idea of losing the depth of a player in the 5th or 6th considering what we drafted last year, and I don't know if I want to pay two guys first round money.

Yeah, the financial ramifications kind of turn me off, too. Most of the talk was of trding up for a RB like Duckett or Green, but we've already discussed the idea of a first day pick on O not being likely. Plus, both will likely be gone around #25.

The problem is, there are 32 number one picks to be had, and about 45 players that deserve to be in the 1st round.

I think we'll be shocked to see who will be available at pick 25.....but even more suprised to see who has fallen to our pick at 34.

I'd rather see us trade our 3rd and a later pick for another second... this is a top heavy draft... if we can get 3 picks in the first 2 rounds we can pick up 3 possible starters... but after the 3rd the talent level drops a lot
