    I had a thought.

    We take Peppers.

We hang on to see how the CB's are falling. If they aren't, and we need to get our man, from, say, SF.

    We could:

trade #34 and our 4th rounder for there 1st rounder and something else? 6th rounder?

I worry about CB depth in round 2, and we've already got 6 healthy nickels.

Crazy? Hurney has mentioned trading the 4th rounder, and getting a starting CB might be a great way to use it.

yeah, I worry about that also. I worry about DE somewhat similarly, but the end result is that we can make do this year with an OK DE and grab Joseph/Moorehead next year.

But since that won't happen, and we'll pick Peppers, your idea has merit. I don't know if 4 will be enough, but 3 is too much for this move.

If they'd take next year's third maybe. I'm not so sure we shouldn't hang on to our fourth this year. Some one always slips and with us drafting second in the fourth round it might be wise to stay put.

You think it'd take more than our #34, and our fourth rounder to move up 7-8 spots?

    If so, we shouldn't.

I don't know that 34 and 100 would seal the deal. They'd see that 3rd and expect to get it instead, and I'm not down with that.

It's a good idea, especially to get a guy like Rumph, but in the end a team like SF would want him as well.
