    Maybe this whole situation will make him a better head coach. That might not be enough to save his job, but I'd like to see the team finish strong.

    I've been on Rivera's side but him allowing Chud to pin our hopes on that scheme, and letting him continue to run it this long is a huge fail.

    Rivera's gone regardless. Even if he wins before a new GM gets here they're going to have the mindset that the only way he was able to push his players is with threat of losing his job. I wouldn't want to be a GM that says "He was able to do good AFTER the GM got fired. So if I get fired he may do good again?"

    yeah, I thought that scheme last year was a good wrinkle used for Newton's quicker acclimation, especially because of the lockout.

    now it seems it has become a staple and I disslike it that way.

    according to one of our locals on twitter their is a playoff team asking about the availabiliy of DW.

    A DW trade would be more plausible if you could eat part of the salary, like in baseball.
