Please don't let Rivera make any personnel decision and make a trade as if he has a future here.

    Amen

Rivera no... but Morrison/Beane should, at the very minimum, listen to any offers..

Rivera doesn't have any authority over personnel moves.

roster moves signing players to fill holes from players going to IR is one thing... but any type of trade deals, I'd rather just stand pat and let the new GM go through the pantry

They won't do anything drastic. "Personnel moves" at this point just means claiming guys off of waivers, etc.

Don't think they could even if they wanted to because of the massive cap hit trading one of those contracts would incur.

Does anyone really think that management/JR are going to allow him to make trades or cut someone they don't want cut?

What I think: Rivera should know who can help us and who isn't getting it done, as far as depth type roster tweaks are concerned. Which is what he'll be deciding, along with who starts week to week.

As far as Rivera goes, I don't know if I should have expected players to show support, but I haven't head any of that.

Rivera knows he needs to win now to keep his job. The only thing to potentially be scared of is trading future picks for a player, but I strongly doubt that Richardson would allow that.
