Pete Prisco of CBS Sportsine is reporting that the National scouting service has completed its preliminary lists of graded players for the 2003 draft. The top players at each position are QB Carson Palmer of Southern Cal; RB Larry Johnson of Penn State; junior WR Charles Rogers of Michigan State; junior TE Jason Witten of Tennessee; OT Jordan Gross of Utah; junior DE Terrell Suggs of Arizona; DT Jimmy Kennedy of Penn State; junior LB Karlos Dansby of Auburn; CB Terrence Newman of Kansas State and junior safety Stuart Schweigert of Purdue.

The quarterbacks ranked behind Palmer are Marshall's Byron Leftwich and Mississippi junior Eli Manning, and, somewhat surprisingly Kyle Boller of California and Chris Simms of Texas.

That's not surprising to me. Simms, I guess, but not Boller. I had him #5 at the top of the second. Ragone kept playing his way down the list.

    Isn't Newman a Soph?

  4. Newman's a senior. He came through the JUCO ranks to get to K-State. He will be missed!

BTW, isn't Suggs from Arizona State and not just Arizona?

You are correct on both, CGF.
