    much like FSU taking their lumps in obtaining the top recurits and sending abunch to the NFL.

    All of the above can as well as most of the other teams in the ACC and SEC.

    I don't think that those schools don't have close to the endowment that UNC does. I doubt that it's even close in current fundraising dollars either.

    Carolina was ranked as high as 3rd early during the '81 season until a blowout loss to South Carolina

    What good is an endowment to a player choosing the best school to play football at when that school is considered a basketball school?

    I'd go after someone like Urban Meyer from a smaller school instead an assistant coach.

    Facilities cost money. Coaches costs money. Travel costs money.

    In football? I don't really keep track of such things, but wouldn't most SEC schools obliterate UNC in terms of resources?

    pretty much every acc or sec has the funds to pay a coach. A few million a year for a coach is absolutley nothing for schools these days.


    building new facilities is a different story.
