You guys have put some good ones on here. I still think Joshua Tree was the best. A top 10 for me. Some of these I just forgot. Maybe Bon Jovi doesn't belong, but it was a solid album even though it was hair metal. And I've alwyas had a hard time deciding which Metallica album I like best. But justice was the darkest and I like disturbing metal. But Ride the lightning was ground breaking stuff. I can't wait till they grab the bass player from Flotsam and Jetsom and start making more music.

    good bump!

i'd have to say that, for me, it was:

beastie boys -- license to ill (but paul's boutique was more groundbreaking)
rem -- document (though murmur was a breakthrough for radio)
new order -- substance (though joy division's 'closer' was more soulful)
    nwa -- straight outta compton
    the b52s -- wild planet
art of noise -- who's afraid of the art of noise

    they defined my musical tastes.

xtc -- skylarking (though the dukes of stratosfear's 'psonic psunspot' is more edgy)
men at work -- under construction
the smiths -- the queen is dead
de la soul -- three feet high and rising
    the cure -- disentegration

throw in some depeche mode, frankie goes to hollywood and some 2 live crew and that's how i got to be the way i am today.
