    Mine...
    1) Palmer - best overall
    2) Leftwich - good measurables and arm
    3) Manning - upside is probably better than any here
    4) Ragone - He has skills despite disappointing yr
    5) Grossman - Good enough to make it
    6) Roethlisberger - projection that has good talent
    7) Clausen - see above
    8) Simms - room to improve
    9) Boller - good arm but bad accuracy
    10) Lorenzen - ok tools as backup type

    1. Palmer

Experience he has, starting 4 seasons. Productive experience? Well, 2, couting his Freshman year. Lefty does have the bigger arm, though, and he's very close. But Palmer has the complete package of arm, mobility, touch, accuracy, and size. A bit mechanical though. Should be durable.

    2. Leftwitch - Very close, and the footwork and injury things are the only think that really keeps me from putting him ahead. Great arm, and accurate. Reminds me of Jim Kelly, frankly.

    3. Manning - Little bigger than big brother, not as developed at the same stage. Good arm, and accurate. Hasn't inherited Peyton's Sergio Garcia syndrome as yet.

    4. Ragone - I'd still go this way if I'm a team like Pitt that needs a backup. All the tools, and behind a good line in Pitt, he can settle down

    5. Boller- Less familar, but this seems to be a general consencous on him now. In the end, he didn't quite carry his team as far, didn't make quite the impact Palmer did.

    6. Gesser - Love his accuracy, instincts and movement.

    7. Grossman -- Not a great decision maker always, and he is small. Does have an arm, has intangibles, a bit too emotional perhaps, but never gives up. Extremely hard player to sack.

    8. Sims - In the end, he was fairly productive. Sheltered a bit though, and he looks mechanical under pressure and folds.

    9. Klingsbury - Arm strength may do him in though. In a WCO type system, perhaps.

    10. Dorsey - The knuckleballs he threw in Tempe have really soured me on him.

interesting lists. I see Shocker went with the best guys in college, not necessarily just the ones that came out. All very intriguing.

I really want to rate Simms that low, Piper. He's talented, and yet I just see bad things for him.

    >>>Brad Banks - he's not accurate, he's not strong, he's got project written all over him. But someone'll draft him to attempt to think outside the box and will end up getting a good backup. <<<

I think that is a common analysis on Banks, based on his Orange Bowl Implosion.
HOWEVER, he IS very accurate and has been all season. His biggest plus is he just makes plays (w/ the exception of the OB).
He will likely be a career back-up and could even end up at WR if he feels it will prolong his career.

The one thing that concerns me about Leftwich is that while his velocity maintained, his form was poor during th injury. All arm throws would make him suseptable to shoulder or elbow problems. I wouldn't be suprised in the least to hear he has rotator cuff problems, at least if I was a Dr. at the combine/workouts I'd be poking and prodding the hell out of that shoulder if everything alse checked out.

he's a playmaker, but I just can't agree that he'll be accurate as a pro. If he is, it's because he's put in a WCO where he's able to become robotic on the short stuff.

I wouldn't expect Leftwich to keep throwing without the motions on a regular basis. Just because he can doesn't mean he should - that suggests long term injury problems.

I'll agree to disagree on Banks, I just never saw him as off as he was in the OB.
I also, would expect Leftwich's mechanics to improve as he heals, what I worry about is possible damage caused from having to throw off his back foot, all arm. Not so much the elbow, it's not like he's heaving curve balls, but the shoulder and especially the rotator. One thing is for sure, he will be overly analysed medically.
