I saw the Groove Tube in a double feature in 1974 with Monty Python's Holy Grail when they came out. I was 13, and my best friend's dad took us (it was rated R).

One of my all-time favorite movies is the Holy Grail.

The Groove Tube was hillarious. Very. It was WAY ahead of it's time. It was a precurser to Sat. Night live in a sense (Chevy Chase was a major part of that movie (not so much as an actor, but inwriting and developement).
If you haven't seen it, you must. However, by today's standards, you might not feel it's as cutting edge as it was, but in '74, it was 'out there', really. It was a very dirty, British-type, version of a 2-hour Laugh-In.

Monty Python & The Holy Grail is like the greatest film of all time, always something new to laugh at on each viewing.

"We'd better not risk a frontal assault. That rabbit's dynamite!"

The aforementioned standbys Airplane!, Naked Gun, old school Mel Brooks are all classics, too. I always got a chuckle out of Steve Martin in The Man With Two Brains.

Anyone seen Super Troopers? Stupid, off-the-wall movie good for a few laughs.
