Damn spud I feel for you. Happened to me late one night and the only relief I could get was holding cold water on the tooth. Good luck

Does tetracycline (sp) do anything for pain, or is it just for infections, you reckon?

    Ibuprofen - lots of it.

Take four at a time (prescription strength). I lived with a bad tooth for months one time and ibuprofen pretty much did the trick on the pain.

I was lucky, didn't happen in the middle of the night, but realized it wasn't getting better. Doc gave me some nice vicodin...MAN that stuff is GREAT! Now I realize why people get addicted. I slept a LOT. Feel great today, seeing the dentist. Wouldn't wish that on ANYONE!
