    Tom 'T.C.' Carey leaves WFNZ

    MARK WASHBURN

    TV/Radio Writer

Tom "T.C." Carey, one of the longest-running voices on WFNZ (610, 1660 AM), parted ways with the sports station Monday.
Carey was part of the team when WFNZ launched the morning "Czaban Show" with Steve Czaban in 1999, and stayed on at the station after the show was canceled two months later.

For the last five years, Carey has been part of the cast of "The Morning Sports Page," also hosted by Gary Williams and Jim Celania. After his Monday appearance on the show, Carey said he wouldn't be returning.

Carey referred questions to WFNZ's operations manager, D.J. Stout, who said that under Infinity Broadcasting policy, he couldn't comment on personnel matters.

TC was like everybody's drinking buddy. I admire the guy. He obviously had less sports knowledge than the other two but he honestly liked what he liked and admitted that he was really just a fan. He was usually smart enough to keep quiet when Gary and Jim were breaking down games or talking about teams he wasn't familiar with but occasionally he'd get a one-liner in that would make you have to pull over.

TC, good job :applause: and good luck :xyzthumbs

I suppose he was supposed to be funny, but he was the least funny of the group.
