    ACC teams.

Seriously. This was the moment to move out of the mediocrity. FSU has a couple of down years, vulnerable. Strife with contraversy. And yet they still come away champions again.

This means you, Groh. This was supposed to be your year. Don't blame your QB getting hurt, you don't lose those games, you overpower lesser talented teams.

This means you, Chuck. Quit viewing your defense through those bad 80s rose colored glasses. They cost you a BCS berth.

This means you, Gailey. Get an offense, cause your D isn't going to carry you through an entire season, apparently. Hell, once Dook shreads you up, you can't count on your defense for anything. 6-5, on your way to 6-6. Those days are over.

Bowden, enjoy the stay of execution you should be getting. Now don't let Wake beat you.

And don't think you can slink away, Terp fans. Lose 7-3 to Ga Tech?

This isn't parity. it's mediocrity. Same thing that ACC was known for before FSU came calling. Well, the competitoin about to get tougher. After yall stop snickering at the Big East, if Pitt beats Miami next week, WVU wil have done what none of the original ACC teams have done. Gone to a BCS bowl.

The crown was for the taking if someone wanted it. Guess no one did.

Seriously. This isn't an ACC sucks rant. Well it is. But the message is it doesn't have to be this way.

Freidgen is DA SHIT though. That Ga Tech game may look bad now, but I respect the fact that he left his second string QB home for disciplinary reasons - even if it cost him a game as it appears that it did.

UVA was VERY disappointing though. All those kids back on D and they still can't stop anyone. The sad thing is that next year the D might finally be decent and Schaub will be gone.

Well, it wasn't just the Ga Tech game. And you still need to just overpower that team in that situation.

Not critisizing the decision to sit the kid, not knowing the background. But even if he was out for injury, that doesn't excuse that loss.

I wonder why Chuck won't name a DC? I've thought of two reasons:

    1. He thinks he can be Head Coach and DC.

    2. He knew this year's defense would be really bad (due to inexperience) and wanted to take the blame himself instead of naming a DC to be in that position.

Even though they don't really have a DC, right?

I just think that if he honestly felt the defense would be that bad than he would have to have a DC to spend the time with them that they would require.

virginia tech -- as we now see -- is mediocre.

miami is mediocre. they lose their last bit of swagger with this group that is leaving.

and brock berlin and crudup are no kelly-erickson-testaverde-dorsey.

Been trying to tell y'all this. We are going to struggle with a schedule that does not include 6 cream puffs.

All the more reason for the above mentioned teams to nut up. Seriously. There is no reason that this conference shouldn’t produce more top 25 teams, and actually produce a champion that deserves to be called one of the 8 best teams in the nation. It can’t be fun to see the ACC Champ get blown out in the Sugar year in and out.

SEC has three teams that are ranked in the top 8, and that’s largely due to a vacuum.
