NCAA: 16-12. Hopefully I am getting my ass straightened out.
NFL: 13-5-1: Still bitter about that missed Panthers XP.

While wondering why I passed on Colorado State last night….

Florida State (-7) - I am not going to flog this horse anymore. Y'all know why.

    Boston College (-10)
    Bowling Green (-9)
    - These two plays remind me a lot of the UVA play last week. I just can't figure out why the number is so low unless THE MAN expects these teams to struggle on the road. Neither of these teams is quite as good as UVA (at least I don't think so), but they are both solid squads that usually go out and take care of business against lesser opponents - BC is at Temple, BG is at Western Michigan. Bowling Green struggled a bit when it came to pushing the ball in the end zone last week against C. Michigan but still rolled up over 500 yards - while Western Michigan screwed around with E Michigan for a half before putting them away easily. I think those two scores have combined to keep the spread number down to a reasonable 9. I'll lay it. As for BC, if THE MAN is thinking that Temple has some kind of home field help, he should forget it. Temple barely draws 5K for most games and this should be like a scrimmage for BC.

Wake Forest (-5) - Yes, Wake. This should be a decent spot for a play on Wake. Ga Tech is coming off an upset win over State - although I'm not sure how much of an "upset" it really was - and now has to go on the road before coming back home to play the Terps in a Thursday night ESPN game. Ga Tech has not proven to me they can be consistent from one week to the next and this is a sandwich game for them. Meanwhile, Wake has been stewing for 2 weeks after not taking the gifts UVA gave them to pull out a win in C'ville. Or they should be stewing about it anyway. They blew that game even though UVA tried to give it to them.

Oklahoma (-5.5) - Another dead horse game. As long as Mack is coach of the Horns, I'm taking the Sooners. Part of it is not Mack's fault, really, the Sooners are just that damn good.

Louisiana Tech (-15) - Picking on UTEP here. Yeah, UTEP won last week…. but it was SMU and UTEP needed a blocked punt and an 87 yard touchdown pass just to beat them.

Got my eye on one or two more, but I'm stopping here for now. Gotta do a little more research before I decide and at some point I actually have to do my real job. So much for taking the week off like I thought I might be doing.

That's one of the teams I was looking at. :) I'm hoping it might go back to 7 tonight or tomorrow morning. It's bounced around for days now between 7.5 and 6.5. It's at 6.5 right now. I had them getting 4 at Wyoming a few weeks back.

Edit: Just kicking myself for passing on them against Mizzou a two weeks ago. And speaking of Mizzou, I'm really tempted by Nebraska too. Those two games have me spooked for some reason though.

    Saturday rehash....

    3 woohoo's, 2 D'ohs!, 1 :anon:

Even if I had picked up a fee more teams, it wouldn't have mattered - the other ones I thought about split too.
