    Tim McCarver is the Billy Packer of Major League Baseball. Believe it or not Tim has knowledge of the game but he also says some of the dumbest things. He second-guesses everything as well, just like Packer. McCarver along with Jack Buck made a living for CBS in the 91 World Series over-analyzing everything Atlanta did (right or wrong).

    I disagree. Packers does know basketball, but I've never heard McCarver display anywhere near the same level of insight.
