When you're an athlete that's more or less unavoidable, but the theory goes that no one wants to look at anyone else's junk anyway. If a gay dude is on your team, that goes out the window.

Problem is, there's absolutely nothing good that can come out of saying that publicly. The NBA isn't going to start testing for 'gayness', or suspending players because they have a gay moment. He does have every right to believe it, but you should also be a responsible role model and keep those types of thoughts to yourself.

Let's put ourselves in the shoes of the homosexual. Wouldn't the fear of getting your ass kicked by an entire team keep you from making any advances, or even looking funny at another naked man? I don't think it's a big deal at all. If your being paid a lot of money to travel the country and do something that you love, you should really just shut the fuck up and be happy with your life. It's all a matter of perspective, imo.

Not saying I agree, but if they can have damn Port-a-pottys, I damn sure would want to at least have my own port-a-shower if I have that kinda money.

The question isn't whether or not the gay person will do something, because they obviously won't. It's a question of comfort. Would a women's team be comfortable showering with a guy even if he was on his best behavior? No, and they shouldn't be asked to do that. Maybe teams could have separate facilities for gays, but whatever the case, it's certainly valid to say that many people will be uncomfortable with that situation.
