    USA Todays Sports weekly sure is pimping Cleveland to name Kelly Holcomb as starter so Tim Couch can be dealt to Panthers. Hmmm wonder what they would have to give up

    I saw last week on ESPN that Couch would refuse a back-up role. Now THAT'S what I like to hear from a QB!

    Ofcourse he'd be Palmer's back-up if he came to Carolina, so maybe we give up a 3rd + a conditional for next year.

    Well in my search to back up this rumor I found another one. I had read in several columns how Houston was looking to trade down; here's the first I've read where we want to trade up:

    "Speaking of the Bengals, they are seriously thinking of trading the overall number one selection. Depending on what they are offered, they may trade down to the number four spot with the Bears if they do not go after a free agent quarterback. The Bears love Carson Palmer and the only chance they have to get him, is the number one spot.

    The Panthers are very, very interested in trading with the Houston Texans in order to acquire a top signal caller. The Panthers know they will not have a shot at Palmer or Leftwich sitting at the number nine spot, so they want to make a move. The only guys who may be available at the nine spot are Kyle Boller, Chris Simms, Rex Grossman and Dave Ragone. Carolina does not want one of those guys in the first round, so look for them to try to make a deal. "
