from an ABD fan so don't expect me to throw them many roses.

but I will say they aren't as bad as us anti-dook fans want them to be. Their defense is tough enough to keep them in any game. They'll make the tourney - will probably even make the sweet 16. They'll be a high enough seed to win their first game easy and are good enough they will beat whoever ends up in the second round.

But these guys really struggle to keep teams at bay. If Ga Tech played with half a brain they would be ahead by ten. dook keeps giving them chance after chance

mostly because McRoberts is about as over rated a player as it gets.

McRoberts = Reyshawn Terry. A boatload of talent and a thimble full of brains. Watching him brick free throws, make ridiculously lazy, stupid passes (often one posession after making a great pass), his inability to finish around the basket. watching him trip over his feet as he goes behind his back (why? only because he has once or twice) the list goes on.

He makes as many stupid plays as he does great plays. He makes really stupid turnovers. He makes really stupid fouls. He lets these mistakes get in his head and then he pouts. He is Reyshawn Terry in a dook uniform.

and one more thing - what the hell do the dook coaches do with Zoubeck during practice? They obviously don't spend any time working on offense or footwork. Has the kid ever made an offensive move where he didn't travel? He looks like he has more than just potential. He is big and plays pretty good defense. If they would just spend a little bit of time on post moves he might actually score some points for them.

Zoubek does look so clumsy when he is in the post. He travels all the time. I'm glad Pocius played some today. I like how he plays. For as much pub Scheyer is getting he misses a TON of open shots. Paulus has stepped up his shooting. He has shot the ball really well this year. With ten minutes to go it's like riding an emotional roller coaster, just begging to hold on. the two wins this week sealed their Tournament bid.

mock bracket has them as an 8 seed playing Texas in the first round and possibly UCLA in the second. They'll improve upon that, but damn, that would be a tough road if they didn't.

doubt they'd beat texas. although, they have a penchant for locking down the good players, but durant is better than good. i wouldn't be surprised to see texas win the whole thing. syracuse pretty much came out of nowhere to win with melo.

They moved up to a 6 seed this week. I think they would be a 5 if the season ended today. They'll be about 20th in the new polls and they have the #3 SOS.

I think Duke will be higher than that 6 seed. Almost everyone from 15-25 in the polls lost last week, and Duke beat ranked BC and a pretty good GT team. If they go 3-1 to end the year and the only loss against UNC they will end the year 23-8. Coach K gets crapped on for being 23-8...Roy Williams wins coach of the year for going 23-8 in a MUCH weaker ACC than this year. UNC lost a ton, but Duke did lose about 80% of their offense.
