    i don't know about eli being average w/ the talent he has now. some of the dropped passes, or would have been a real good catch passes - his fucking accuracy scared the shit out of me playing the cowboys. there were quite a few long passes smitty or plax would have brought in, and the goddam balls were thrown perfect.

    I believe so. I think Vegas usually gives 3 points for home field advantage.

    anywhere I lay my head I'm gonna call my home
    If Jacobs is out, then this is our weather. If Jacobs is in, I think it's a wash and the talent advantage we'd have would be having the better receivers and DBs. DBs won't matter if you're playing run; WR is tough on the road against a good rush. Granted it's partially skewed by terrible games but Jake's QBR is great at home and has been tough on the road. Whether there's a true variance or difference, or whether the below average games have really pulled it down, is hard to say.

    Oh yeah, i think we see him. but will he be effective? Will he play half the game and come out gimpy again like he did against Philly? or is he close enough to 100% that he will have a significant impact? we won't know until Sunday night.

    they need him to win...plain and simple.

    I know NYG DL was strength during SB run, and still is now with Tuck having a great year.

    Does anybody else think that Fox went out and got big at OL just so he could take advantage of quick, athletic DL -- and all the copycat models that followed.

    I think we ram it down their throat all game. Grind it out. Whomever gets the early lead is going to be golden, but watch out for TO's.

    Which teams' RB's are more likely to fumble?

    According to Sagarin:
    To make predictions for upcoming games, simply compare the RATINGS of
    the teams in question and allow an ADDITIONAL 3 points for the home
    team. Thus, for example, a HOME team with a rating of 27 would be
    favored by 5 points over a VISITING team having a rating of 25.
    Or a VISITING team with a rating of 24 would be favored by 7 points
    over a HOME team having a rating of 14.
    NYG = 28.21

    CAR = 27.06

    So, if everybody healthy, et al, NY would be a 4.15 pt favorite at open, but it wasn't - probably due to Burress out and Jacobs questionable.

    I still like the Panthers getting 3 pts.

    Kemo (walking boot today) looks to be out and Jacobs practiced today. Not looking forward to seeing Jacobs running up the middle w/o Kemo

    Thanks Law.

    Both teams are good in give/take.

    Giants have the edge overall.
