    Okay, I give up - The Hold Steady actually kick a lot of ass. I have been listening to "Chips Ahoy" and "Between Stations" regularly for the last week. They really do sound like a punkish Springsteen & the East Street Band.

    As far as song of the moment - maybe it's Spoon - The Book I Write (quicktime video) or The Book I Write (Shockwave Flash) - from the Stranger Than Fiction soundtrack - Will Ferrell's "serious" movie, which I saw last week.

    I also have to admit that I'm listening to Snow Patrol - Final Straw at the moment. Yes, it does have embarassingly cheesy lyrics and some riffs to match, but there are some redeeming moments.
