the cd of may for me was 'band of horses' ...... tracks 2-7 are just immediate flat out catchy songs.. it's pretty straight ahead almost mor rock . but it's good stuff.. it's worriesome that the cd clocks in at only 39 minutes .. and the last three songs could easily be considered throwaways........ but the cd was in my player more than any other in may '06

Ive only heard The Funeral (good track) so far, planetahead, but Band of Horses sound promising. I'll have to check the rest of that album out.

Lloyd, I'm ready to be heartbroken - Camera Obscura

Actually like this one for quite a while, but I figured you guys would hate it.

"our swords" and "weed party" might be a good place to start .. is 'the funeral' actually getting airplay somewhere? they seem like they have a good shot to hit it big.. for better or worse.. i'm sure sub pop could use the money

i am gonna go download some of your reccomendations right now.. and they better be good!

Well shit, I missed this post. Sorry.

Funeral is on pretty heavy rotation on Sirius #26 (Left of Center). I like the song, but it is a little heavy on the high end of the register. Wears me out after a few listens. It's a damn good song though.

I didnt know they were sub pop. I oughtta buy the album for that reason alone.

I have really weird tastes - tend to run all over the board. I apologize if you hate something I like, but dont write me off after 1 or 2 bad ones, 'cause #3 will resonate. Promise.

Today is officially Big Star #1 Record/Radio City day, cause I said so.

Well that, and this just sounds like a summer record from the 70's, which it pretty much is :twocents:
