    2nd appearance on my playlist. Disposable Coldplay-esque pop, but fun anyway. I'll burn out on it fast.

    Calexico/Iron & Wine - He lays in the reins

    The spanish vocal on the chorus (Salvador Duran) threw me for a loop. So I'm listening to it a few times to see if it works.

    If you like the southwestern music style, you might like "History of Lovers" more. That's the better known track on this EP.

    For me, the best part of this EP is hearing Sam witha full backing band. That's pretty cool.

    The New Pornographers - "The Bones of An Idol"

    Off their new album, Twin Cinema. The album is getting rave reviews. I dunno. I'm not crazy about it. I really like this song though, but not because of Neko Case's vocal, even though she's supposedly the halmark. Musicly, it sounds really familiar, but I can't place it. I know I've heard it before, by someone else, with a better, completely different vocal.
