    Hand Grenade - The Movielife

A 37-year-old Venezuelan was caught entering Britain with a live hand grenade in his luggage at London (Gatwick) airport on Thursday. What sort of security do they have in airports in South America if they miss stuff like this?

yay! apparently none. venezuela? need to check where they stand on the issues of war on terrorism. gatwick was my port of entry there. they bused us from aircraft to the airport itself. security was tight! not tighter than the building i work in, tho. :D

aha! i thought you'd think that. but alas...i knew better! i was not about to make judgements or first impressions of the country i so admired all my life. besides, i was just glad to get off the plane! twas cold and wet. the bus was full, (i flew coach). the line was hella long. i had a huge trunk and 2 hand carries, my back pack and a stow away. they opened all of them and i had to explain one electronic equipment i had. i didnt even bring my laptop for fear they'd fuss about it. i wasnt as shocked as i was later on when i found out the food was not that good. i starved there, by the way. all i wanted was coffee or tea. all the rest of the food, i was not too crazy about. the yorkshire pudding is very misleading, shepherds pie, i liked!

"wherever you will go" the calling

Need to lose a few pounds? Come to Britain and starve!

It's all a matter of taste, really. Great food is to be found everywhere, you just need to know where to find it. Yorkshire Pudding is wonderful if it's cooked properly, and drowned in good gravy.

And if you ever get around to going to see your Vikes, I recommend Copeland's in Minneapolis.

Just noticed the above comment. What about the beer?

    Norfuckingmality - One Minute Silence

Another good new British band who will probably never get to the States.
