    yep. Sure do.
Just watching the weather channel, for no particular reason. I don't care what it's doing in Los Angeles this weekend.

Re: what's good to play late nights?

most of what I have is sorta mellow.

hard to say. Fiona, Ben Folds in some songs, all the stuff I've said before. You ahve my Eva Cassidy, you have my Dave Matthews, you have all my mellow stuff. There's some decent Sarah McLachlan out there, though.

But then there's Lover Man - Charlie Parker, Reverie = Illinois Jacquet, anything downtempo of Clifford Brown's. Jazz this late at night is the only way.

yep, 1996 I think. Mmmm, high school.
Another repeat - Sophisticated Lady, James Carter.
Billy Strayhorn was a genius. But I don't think he wrote this one. This is Ellington's.

some smooth jazz is good. IMO some isn't. I can usually get down with guitar based smooth jazz...george benson and on.

    I had to replay it.

They say into your early life romance came,
and in this heart of yours burned a flame,
A flame that flickered one day and died away.
Then, with disillusion deep in your eyes,
you learned that fools in love grow wise.
    The years have changed you somehow;
    I see you now...
Smoking, drinking, never thinking of tomorrow,
    nonchalant,
Diamonds shining, dancing, dining with some man in a restaurant,
Is that all you really want? No, sophisticated lady,
I know, you miss the love you lost long ago,
and when nobody is nigh you cry.
